




For families with young children, a high chair and travel cot are available and baby sitting can be booked through Roserrow. There are loads of local children’s attractions locally which include Crealy Adventure Park, Dairyland and Lappa Valley
Beaches
Gorgeous safe sandy beaches great for all the family are close by at Polzeath, Rock and Daymner Bay,whilst huge Atlantic rollers roll across the mouth of the Camel Estuary, creating a surfer's paradise.
Watersports
The tidal waters ot the Camel Estuary to the West - up to a mile wide between Rock and Padstow -provide a calm, sheltered expanse of water creating ideal conditions for all varieties of water sports.Rock is one of the major watersports centres in Cornwall - sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing and rowing are all activities which can be carried on in the relatively calm. Bigger waves can be found at Daymer Bay.
Walking
The South West coastal path in this area provides hours of stunning walking opportunities including the breathtaking scenery of the cliffs that run from Pentire to Port Quinn, Port Isaac and beyond to Clovelly in North Devon
For the more energetic The National Trust land at Pentire is an extensive carpet of wild flowers, at its best in the spring.
Padstow and Rock
Padstow, home to Rick Stein's Restaurants and cooking school (why not book yourself a treat?) is a beautiful little port to explore. Wonder through the jumble of little houses, restaurants, art galleries and gift shops or stop for a delicious Cornish cream tea or ice-cream.
Boat trips can be booked from Padstow or Rock -pleasure, fishing or bird watching trips are available.
Close by is the National Lobster Hatchery.
During daylight hours, the Black Tor ferry runs a regular service from Rock across the estuary to Padstow, with a Water Taxi available later in the evening.
Cycling
Visitors can hire bicycles from Wadebridge or Padstow and cycle along the level Camel Trail cycle route -an 11 mile round trip through beautiful countryside.
Further afield, why not visit the amazing Eden Project (40 mins), The Tate Gallery at St Ives or take the children to one of the many attractions such as Cornwall's Crealy Adventure Park.
